September 11th... Again

September 11, 2002 was a completely uneventful day. One year after the most devastating event in my short history on this earth and so little had changed. One year earlier I thought that the world might end. I thought that I had possibly lost my Mother, my sister and countless friends in the Towers.

One year later I'm standing in a park taking photos of New Yorkers bonding with one another over the commonality of grief. One year later I'm grateful we are all still here.
